The Ultegra Ci4+ XTC and XSC are perfectly located in the middle of the Shimano Big Pit/Surf reel range and are available in smaller sizes 14000 and 5500. The most notable feature of the Ultegra Ci4+ is its weight which allows you to maximize your rod speed on long distance casts. With a mid-range price, you get high performance for your money with the Ultegra Ci4+, and one look tells you that this is a serious long distance reel. With subtle colors, a large capacity spool, a neat and compact Ci4+ composite body, as well as Shimano's top-notch long distance fishing technology, you won't be short of features if you choose the Ultegra Ci4+. In use, you will appreciate the reel's low weight, especially when you push your casting range to the max. The lightness allows you to generate faster rod speeds, which, combined with other technologies, results in longer casts. Inside the G FREE's light body is a combination of HAGANE Gear and X-SHIP which work together to produce a smooth and powerful rotation. The X-Protect technology prevents water from penetrating the reel gears, ensuring that your reel maintains its performance in all conditions. When it comes to casting, the Super Slow 5 oscillation generates a smooth line wrapping that has been proven to increase casting distance potential, and the parallel body ensures the line leaves the AR-C spool at the perfect angle to the first ring to minimize friction. The Ultegra Ci4+ is also equipped with a Hi-Speed brake that can be locked and released with minimal rotation via the adjustment knob.
