To diversify one's baiting when fishing for carp, in addition to placing boilies around one's rig, it can be very effective to do so with bait. Whether it's around the lead, in a soluble bag, or simply with balls of flour, such baiting can be very effective, especially during winter fishing or when seeking efficiency. Obviously, this should be avoided in the middle of summer when all the other fish are likely to be attracted, or when specifically seeking large carps, although under certain conditions this can also be justified. These baits can be found under the name of method mix, which is the same thing after all, with the added assurance for a method mix to have a very sticky mixture once wet to be placed on the lead. Whether in the form of bait or method mix, flours are an interesting complement to baits for carp fishing.
