The spinning spoon or spinner is a metallic lure that has existed for decades and is now present in almost every trout fisherman's box. Indeed, it is known to be the lure to use to save from a blank. Its use is particularly simple since all you have to do is cast it and reel it in so that the blade spins on itself and thus emits inciting vibratory and visual signals for predators. To adjust the depth at which it evolves, all you have to do is reel more or less quickly. This spoon is particularly effective on trout in rivers or streams in its sizes ranging from 00 to 3 but it is primarily known for its versatility. It is indeed possible to fish any typology of watercourse with this lure and catch all species of predators. There are however some subtleties with the spinning spoon, particularly in terms of the blade. This can be round or willow leaf shaped. Models with a willow leaf blade will allow slightly deeper fishing. There is a second type of spoon that can be used for trout fishing: the oscillating spoon. This ancestral practice was abandoned for many years by trout fishermen who preferred to turn to swimbaits or its cousin: the spinning spoon. In recent years, a new practice, directly imported from Japan, has become popular in France: trout fishing in Area. This fashion trend led manufacturers to relaunch the production of the oscillating spoon and many models have appeared on the market (flagship lure for the Area). Thus, practitioners of fishing in Area and in the river have returned to the use of this highly effective lure. Its construction is simple as it is a piece of metal forming a curve and thus allowing the spoon to wiggle during simple linear retrieval. You will find in this section the most suitable trout spoon for your practice among the biggest brands like Mepps, Smith, Illex and many others.
