The new Long Chuck mainline has been specifically designed for long distance fishing and will considerably increase your casting distance compared to a standard mono. It has very little stretch to allow for faster compression of the rod's blank and, thanks to its very low water absorption, it is also useful when trying to feel your lead touching the bottom at a distance or in crosswind. This low water absorption also allows the line to remain light and stay airborne longer, reducing drag during casting, the most significant factor to achieving this is the fact that the line is clear - adding dye to a mono line increases weight, while altering the molecular structure and creating more stretch, meaning that colored lines will not cast as far as a neutral-colored nylon. The Long Chuck also features a high ratio between breaking strain and diameter, which significantly reduces drag and line weight, compared to equivalent breaking strain.
