Il FR55 è davvero molto stabile quando nuota anche a velocità di recupero molto elevate grazie a un centro di gravità basso, questa stabilità gli permette di mantenersi nelle forti correnti e nei fiumi veloci. Possiede un'azione di nuoto da sinistra a destra con un bellissimo rolling all'arresto, mantiene una posizione naturale orizzontale quando affonda, il che lo rende particolarmente efficace nelle acque rapide così come in quelle calme.
