The soft squid jig!

These squid jigs have been specifically designed for all your offshoot rigging (drop shot, tataki), from the shore or on a boat. Thanks to their body made of soft gel, the behavior of the Shamalos in water is very close to that of live prey. When handled vertically (ex: tataki), their floating structure gives them a slow descent and a very natural behavior. During the day, their solid iridescent fabric captures the slightest light to restore it in very attractive luminescent flashes. At night or at great depths, their completely phosphorescent body allows them to be spotted by cephalopods at very great distances.

The soft body of the Shamalos matches perfectly that of a live prey, squids and cuttlefish will keep them longer in their tentacles during their attack. Similarly, their fabric covering will also allow a better grip of the suckers, further optimizing the hooking.

In rigs composed of a train of several squid jigs, they will be particularly suitable for the modern practice of tataki. The 6 cm models will also prove to be highly effective when mounted as a teaser in front of an egi squid handled in bichi bachi.

The shamolos: a real treat for cephalopods!
