The mid-range Yasei Dropshot rods feature an extra-fast action, specially designed to maximize the effectiveness of your casting. Beautifully balanced and fitted with some of the most sensitive rod tips on the market to maximize bite detection, the lower section of the rod offers very high responsiveness to set the hook at the slightest bite.

Shimano has a long history of producing high-quality casting rods and the Yasei Dropshot is no exception. From the ultra-sensitive tip that can detect the lightest pulls and bottom features, to a powerful blank that increases reaction speed, every detail has been meticulously developed to deliver optimal performance. Available in two lengths, the 2.10 m Medium Light version has a usable range of 5-18 g, suitable for short-range work and around bridges or obstacles, while the longer 2.40 m Medium version has a usable range of 7-21 g and is better suited to fishing further out in open water or where there is more current. Both models will perfectly balance a 2000 or 2500 size reel, giving you a combination any street fishing expert would be proud to use.

The superb sensitivity of the Yasei Dropshot comes from the solid TAFTEC tip, which is an exclusive Shimano technology. This allows the use of finer, more sensitive tips while retaining the power reserve necessary to handle fighting fish. The rod's main body is made from a Full Carbon High Modulus blank, built using Hi-Power X technology and Nano Alloy. This reduces blank twist during casts, allowing greater accuracy in close-range fishing and better control when fighting larger predators.

To further increase finesse and overall performance, the rods are equipped with recently designed Fuji Alconite K-type guides, light and suitable for the fine-diameter braided lines used for perch.
In line with the high-quality design, a Fuji IPS reel seat is mounted on the two-piece EVA handle, giving this range a modern look that matches its excellent fishing performance.
