The medium Yasei Swimbait/Big-bait rod is a rod specially designed for "big lure" specialists who prefer to use very large swimbait-type lures. The hybrid fast action gives a little more flex in the rod's mid-section. This improves the lure's action during a steady retrieve, while still providing the speed necessary to add twitches and jerks if needed.

Creating the perfect big swimbait fishing rod presents several challenges. Firstly, the rod must cast large baits over long distances, which requires a fast action with a powerful butt. But since swimbaits are generally retrieved at a steady speed, in the same way as more common crankbaits, the rod must absorb part of the lure's undulation to smooth out the action, and it's preferable to do that with a more flexible rod. To meet the challenge, the Yasei Swimbait/Big-bait features a fast, extended tip action combined with a longer length of 2.40 meters. It's hard to describe, but as soon as you fish with it, you'll feel exactly what we mean. Designed to cast heavy baits of 120 to 170 g, with a size 300 baitcasting reel or a small round conventional reel, you'll immediately appreciate the combination of the fast tip and the reduced power when you cast your lure. When you start retrieving, you'll feel the rod's mid-section absorb the vibrations, which will keep the swimbait balanced and true. Of course, you can add a few twitches if you want to mix things up, as the rod has an action fast enough to perform precise, sharp movements.

The Yasei Jerkbait is built with a Full Carbon High Modulus blank, combined with Hi-Power X and Nano Alloy technology. This reduces blank twist during casting and fishing, which is important when playing very large fish that put a lot of bend into the rod. The lightness of the high-quality materials also reduces the rod's overall weight for more comfortable fishing, while retaining the power needed to handle very large lures.

To further improve long-distance casting and overall performance, this rod is fitted with recently designed Fuji Alconite K-type guides. In keeping with the high-quality design, a Fuji IPS reel seat is mounted on the two-piece EVA handle, giving this range a modern look that matches its excellent fishing performance.
