the new revolution in artificial baits.

this new corn developed by the Japanese firm marukyu in collaboration with pescanautic marukyu france is a polymer (100% biodegradable) soaked in amino acids.

much more resistant than natural corn, it can be cast at long distance. the marukyu corn can be mounted on a 'hair' rig or directly on the hook. it is ideal for intensive multi-rod fishing for the largest carp, or for feeder, method and long-rod fishing (for carpodrome).

already tested for 2 years by leading carp specialists, marukyu corn has produced incredible results both in wild waters and in overfished ponds.

reusable zippered bag of 10 triple kernels or 16 single kernels.

opinion of Christophe Debenest, team marukyu :
the corn developed by marukyu is a very good imitation of sweetcorn kernels.

sweetcorn is the one that produces the best fishing today, or that can get us out of a bad patch when nothing else works, in many waters, even the wildest.

there are products on the market today similar to what I am about to describe, but believe me, this one is incomparable with what you already know; the phrase « trying it is adopting it » has never been more true!

as I already said, sweetcorn is a benchmark, which is why copying it is the most relevant: imitation of shape, a replication-ready kernel with flawless finishing. its color, a pronounced bright yellow, would make natural kernels look pale. we all know this color matters to cyprinids, and this one is the most accomplished there is.

this corn is not a plastic but an aqueous polymer. this polymer corrects many issues.

flexibility: a silicone-like appearance provides a flexibility to the kernel that gives a natural feel and also allows piercing with a simple small needle in any direction. this factor also ensures the fish takes it into its mouth. this compressible flexibility creates the illusion of a real kernel and can thus be re-taken several times by the same fish.

olfactory attraction: the aqueous polymer allows the addition of amino acids (manufacturing process), and this product contains a replica of the corn taste that attracts fish just by its olfactory effluves; its taste also works by making the fish 'hold' it in the mouth. it can be mixed right in the middle of a groundbait with real kernels.

gustatory attraction which, together with the product's flexibility, leads to ingestion then digestion, and here I believe the product exceeds expectations. indeed this kernel can be ingested and digested like any natural element.

because of this, it also appeals to other fish. catfish are attracted, but its texture displeases them; crayfish, meanwhile, pinch at it and only partially destroy the kernel, which only makes the spot even more productive because of their presence.

its structure is also an innovation because for carp pole fishing, many anglers resort in difficult conditions to bait only with the corn skin to provoke bites. well, we can reproduce the same action with our « aquacorn » by crushing it hard because it also has a skin, with the added benefit of far better hook-hold.

conversely, small size can be a drawback, so we had the idea of grouping three kernels into a single piece for river roving or to be sure to last longer (a night with unwanted fish). it can also be cut as desired and offers freedom of use.

the environment is not left behind. who, when using a piece of plastic, has not wondered about its fate in nature in case of loss?

well here again efforts are made with the goal of total biodegradability. a kernel lost in nature dries out very quickly to become only one fifth of its original size in just two days!

packaging: in its bag approved by many predator anglers, the twenty or so kernels bathe in their juices and you just need to open the container cleanly at the back with its 'zip' to slide a kernel upward and seize it without tipping the whole, and also without fouling the bag!

in summary, this definitive-named "marukyu corn" has all the advantages of sweetcorn and eliminates all its drawbacks...
