In collaboration with Norwegian professional Rainer Korn, we developed a reel specially designed for targeted fishing of pollack, hake and mackerel. The reel is equipped with BALZER depth control technology (abbreviated DCT).

The electronic DEPTH CONTROL TECHNOLOGY system allows you to find the desired water depth again and again. When you get a strike, briefly press the DCT button. A beep confirms that the depth has been recorded.
If you lower the bait again, an audible signal will sound when you reach the recorded depth. This allows you to return to the exact position where you were bitten.

An invaluable advantage when fishing schooling fish such as pollack, hake, mackerel, etc. which usually stay in mid-water.

If the school is no longer in the recorded position and you find the fish at a different depth, simply press the DCT button and the new depth will be updated. Carangids like baits that move quickly.

That is why the reel has an ultra-fast gear ratio of 8,1:1 !

Rainer's tip: load the reel with Ironline Multicolor which changes color every 10 meters. If the fishfinder indicates a fish at 50m for example, lower the bait and count 5 line colors.

Then press the DCT button. I am now at the correct depth and can always find it again thanks to the DCT. Runs on 2 CR 2032 batteries (included).
