Incredibly solid, huge capacity, impressive braking power: the Elan Super Widepower Plus 71 BL is a baitcasting reel that's worthy of all superlatives. Its nickname in Japan says it all: monster machine! It's the body-built version of the Elan Widepower Plus – a Tailwalk reel that's become legendary for its power.
The frame and side plates are made from pressure-moulded aluminium for maximum robustness. The diameter of the winding gear has also been increased. Its extra deep 43mm diameter spool provides a record capacity (PE4: 270m!)
Equipped with a centrifugal braking system, the Elan Super Widepower Plus 71 BL can be used for both casting and vertical fishing. Tailwalk provides it as standard with two handles (a first!) A single handle specifically for vertical fishing, adjustable to 2 positions (75 / 90 mm) with a round combat handle in EVA. A double handle specifically for casting in duralumin, 120 mm.
This reel is therefore ideal for freshwater to fish with big lures for record predators across the world (trophy pike, catfish, peacoqs bass, barramundis, salmon, etc.).
Fitted with the jigging handle, its huge capacity and power make it also a perfect reel for all vertical sea fishing (jigging, slow jigging, madaïs, kaburas, inchikus, etc.) hunting for bass, pollocks, snappers, dentex, amberjacks, scorpianfish, etc.
