The Purist PX1 range has been designed for anglers who prefer to fish for pike and zander with deadbaits. Combining excellent value for money with a classic, understated aesthetic and first-rate actions, there are two powerful models for pike and a lighter model specially designed for zander.

If you are a keen predator angler who likes to fish for pike and zander with deadbaits, or an angler who concentrates on predator fishing only in winter, the Purist Deadbait range has something to offer. There are three models in the range. The shorter 10' (305cm) pike model balances perfectly with the smaller Shimano Baitrunners and is ideal for short-range margin fishing, boat fishing or for focusing on smaller waters. The longer 12' pike model suits the larger Shimano Baitrunners and offers a little more power and casting performance. If you are a zander specialist, you will certainly appreciate the shorter 8' 10" (270cm) model, whose casting range is much lighter (up to 15g), making it ideal for smaller baits and a forgiving fishing action.

At the heart of the Purist PX1 Deadbait rod is a full carbon blank. It has been developed to combine the power needed to overcome big pike and large zander while absorbing aggressive headshakes and big runs. The pike models cast big baits without fear, while the zander model has a soft action that delivers an excellent fighting experience. All models are fitted with a classic cork handle, a custom DPS reel seat and Shimano Hardlite guides that reinforce the 'classic' look. The two-piece design makes the rods easier to transport and the inclusion of a line clip allows fishing in free spool, or even with an open bail, a handy option even on flowing rivers or in windy conditions.
