The Speed is a model designed to catch a large number of fish, a stable model that sets and stabilises very quickly, allowing you to see a bite as soon as the bait settles, perfect for use with a bulky-style positive rig. The quick-setting nature of this float comes from it being a down-bodied design, with a tear-shaped tapered body with the lower part of the body rounder for more stability and the upper part of the body gently tapering to the quill.

This shape also means the float is perfect for dropping into the water when using baits such as bloodworm or bread punch, and it pulls away from the water incredibly cleanly. The fibreglass tips are very sensitive, but unlike many silverfish-type floats, we have introduced a slightly thicker tip so that they are clearly visible, particularly on the smaller sizes likely to be used in difficult light conditions on small canals and drains.

Wire stem and carbon stem variations in all sizes mean anglers have options of super-stable wire floats for tough conditions, and carbon versions for faster fishing to reduce tangles.

Available sizes (metal stem and carbon stem): 0.2 g, 0.4 g, 0.6 g, 0.8 g, 1 g

The Guru natural pole float range explained:

This particular range of floats has been in development for a long time; we're almost certain you've seen various samples used by our consultants and in films for quite some time now! However, we have constantly refined and expanded the range during the design and production phase to produce a comprehensive collection of floats suited to a wide variety of work on natural venues across rivers, canals and still waters. Finally, they have arrived!

The range includes eight different models covering many shapes and sizes, each with specific uses in different situations. You have no doubt noticed that the floats have been thoroughly trialled and tested by our team of international anglers, with personalities such as Matt Godfrey, James Dent, Steve Ringer, Frankie Gianoncelli and Andy Bennett all contributing to their production. Great care and many adjustments have been made to the lengths and diameters of the stems and quills, so that each size is unique and perfect for the situation in question.

The key feature that sets this range of floats apart from anything we or others have ever produced before is the Elastilex paint finish, which gives the floats ultimate strength, durability and longevity. This finish means the float's high-quality balsa bodies are protected by an ultra-thin and incredibly durable elastic coating that wraps the body, preventing any damage to the body from wear, impacts or line cuts, thereby reducing the risk of the floats taking on water. The paint finish is dark in colour, which, according to our leading anglers, was important since these floats were intended for use on clear, natural venues, the dark body blending into the water allowing ultimate focus on the high-visibility quills.

Features:
• Fast-acting float
• Down-bodied design
• Thicker, more visible tip
• Carbon and wire versions
