Much of the Aero Pro's performance advantage comes from the technology used. The four models are built from Spiral X Core and Hi-Power X carbon, Shimano's best carbon combination, plus Nanopitch technology. Add to that a CI4+ reel seat and the latest Fuji K-Type SiC guides and the result is arguably the lightest feeder rod ever produced.

But being the lightest isn't everything, especially with big-fish rods. Casting performance is even more crucial. With the Aero Pro, the combination of exclusive carbon technology reduces blank twist when under pressure and minimizes the natural backbone of most rods. The effort you put into the cast is used with maximum efficiency along the length of the rod to generate increased peak tip speed.
