Method feeder fishing is one of the techniques most used by modern competition anglers. That means that fish have often already been caught several times with this method and can become wary, or change the way they feed on certain waters.

Des Shipp noticed that he was getting many bites without genuine takes: the fish would hit the feeder to knock off the groundbait without taking the hookbait. The hook would then find itself without bait around it, which cancelled the effectiveness of the method feeder. To remedy this, we designed a bait that is stickier, firmer and denser, easy to compact onto the method feeder and perfectly suited to these conditions.

The Robin Red Method Mix contains a high level of protein from fish meal and crushed pellets, which allows it to adhere well to the feeder. It resists the impact of casting, the descent through the water and the small knocks from fish trying to dislodge the bait.

This mix also contains the famous Robin Red from Haith’s, a powerful aromatic ingredient used for many years for its exceptional attractiveness.

The Robin Red Method Mix is not limited to feeder use. Thanks to its richness in fish meal, it can also be used to make a paste for pole fishing: simply add water gradually until you obtain the desired consistency, more or less fluid depending on the conditions.

Preparation instructions
The Robin Red Method Mix is very simple to prepare. Pour the contents of the 2 kg bag into a round bucket, fill a 2-pint maggot box with water, then pour this water over the dry mix. Mix thoroughly and let rest for 30 minutes so the groundbait can absorb the moisture. For optimal results, then pass the mix through a sieve to eliminate lumps and obtain a homogeneous texture. The groundbait is then ready for use.

While fishing, sun and wind can slightly dry out the mix. To prevent this, cover it with a damp towel or simply add a little water before remixing.
