professional-quality hookook needle to practice the traditional Japanese ikejime technique in the simplest, most humane and fastest way, even for a beginner.

at pecheur we encourage preserving the resource, releasing as many catches as possible and favoring the consumption of non-threatened species. that said, when you decide to harvest a fish, we think it is best to do so under the best conditions and to make the most of it.
this Japanese killing technique will allow you to dispatch your catch without prolonged agony and to enhance its flesh while extending its shelf life.

designed for long-term use on a boat, the material used for the small needle is buoyant and will prevent you from losing it. its traditional shape is engineered to quickly destroy the fish's brain in order to spare it any unnecessary suffering.

this product is guaranteed three years + an instruction leaflet and e-book in French are provided.

advice for choosing the needle :
size s will be ideal for small and medium-sized fish, preferably under 60cm
size m is suitable for a large majority of fish, preferably measuring under 100cm.
size l is intended for large fish, very large sea bass, pollock, meagre (...) up to about 120/150cm
size xl will be used on very large fish (tuna, large amberjacks for example), up to over 200cm
