Have you ever had a carp escape during a water-side photo session? The Easy Float Retainer is an evolution of our original “Failsafe Retainer” model; it transforms from a secure retention sling into an open floating enclosure, allowing you to photograph the fish safely. If the carp won’t cooperate during the photo session, you can gently return it to the Easy Float Retainer (in the open position) and give it time to calm down before trying again. This reduces stress for the fish, makes the photography process safer and easier to control, and limits the risk of escape. The Easy Float Retainer needs no additional assembly to switch from retention mode to the open floating enclosure configuration, making it quicker and easier to use at the water’s edge while minimising handling of the fish. It can also be used as a weigh sling.

Key features
• Supplied in a roll-top carry bag
• Soft mesh sides and base promote water circulation, allowing more accurate weighing and faster drying
• The camouflage top panel limits light penetration when the fish is being held in the sling, reducing stress and helping it recover in the short term
• The fully reflective retaining cord shines under torchlight for easy location and packs neatly into a dedicated pocket to prevent any trip hazards
• The cord is fitted with a large split ring with a 3/8" thread, allowing it to be pegged to the ground, attached to banksticks or screwed directly onto a bankstick for maximum security
• Heavy-duty zip secured by a locking catch to prevent accidental opening during retention
• Can also be used as a weigh sling, thanks to reinforced load-bearing points and a shaped base designed to fit the contours of carp
• Folding arms for more compact transport
• Finished in the Subterfuge camouflage pattern
