The iconic Scope Recon Brolly makes its grand return: the perfect shelter for the mobile carp angler, now with enhanced weather protection, a premium fabric, a removable front mosquito mesh panel and still a compact size to pair perfectly with the Scope 9 and 10 foot sleeves.

Built with ultra-durable Aquasense 10 000 mm fabric and 8 mm high-strength fiberglass ribs, it offers robustness and flexibility even in extreme conditions, for intensive use season after season. The usual weak points of entry-level brollies have been eliminated: the central cap uses a stainless threaded insert to prolong the brolly's lifespan.

The space under the canopy is maximized by keeping the ribs firmly attached to the fabric. Despite its compact size, the Scope OPS Recon Brolly can accommodate both standard and wide Indulgence bedchairs. With a Scope Four Fold Sleep System, you even gain extra space thanks to its reduced size.

The front panels are longer than the classic sides of other brollies, providing protection close to that of a Titan Hide or the legendary Groundhog brollies from the early 2000s. This extra protection allows you to place your bedchair at the back of the brolly, almost sheltered even in heavy rain. Each panel can be rolled up and secured independently with elastic straps to clear the view in dry weather.

The extended inner skirt is designed to trap the feet of bedchairs on top of it, which helps stabilise the brolly on wooden platforms or concrete when.

For summer, wild-spot nights or sessions on crowded swims, a removable mesh panel is included. It hooks around the central cap and has its own separate attachment points from the brolly. Elastics and fastenings ensure perfect tension for a complete insect barrier. The high-quality zipper guarantees an ultra-quick exit, without risk of snagging, as soon as a detector goes off.

Designed to complement the Scope OPS Rod Skin range, the Recon Brolly is supplied in a roll-top waterproof bag that connects directly to the SCOPE sleeve. You can attach the brolly to your sleeves using the velcro straps and buckles, or carry it separately via a shoulder strap (not included) using the D-clips. The bottom of the bag is reinforced to prevent water ingress and withstand the tips of the supplied storm poles, which also store inside.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
The Scope OPS Recon Brolly transport bag is waterproof. It is therefore essential to take out and dry the wet or damp brolly immediately after the session to avoid mould and fabric deterioration. The hole provided for the cord in the central cap also allows you to hang the brolly for complete drying after use.
