Exclusive hook developed with VMC according to the specifications of Johannes Dietel

Since perch fishing is the primary application area for the Rushka Hook, we paid special attention to its sharpening during the development phase. We deliberately chose a slightly thinner wire to achieve a maximum degree of sharpness. However, the hook is not too thin either, because it must also be able to handle accidental captures of large zander, or even pike. During testing, it repeatedly proved capable of this.

The barb is relatively small. Combined with the PTFE coating, which makes it particularly "slippery", this allows the hook to penetrate easily into the fish's mouth. A smaller barb is also gentler on perch. But no need to worry: its size is sufficient to ensure the point remains well anchored in the fish's mouth, even when it violently shakes its head.

In addition to being compatible with Rushka, Cheburashka, Chatter- and Spinner-Rushka, this hook can be used for dropshot fishing, in Carolina rig, Texas rig, Free rig, Kickback rig, for soft jerkbaiting (ideally with Tungsten Nail Sinkers), as well as for many other techniques dedicated to perch fishing.

The Rushka Hook features a molded resin bead, accompanied by two small slightly protruding strands of fluorocarbon (adjustable to preference). This system allows the soft bait to be securely fixed on the shank of the hook without damaging it or risking it splitting during rigging – a common problem with more aggressive metal baitkeepers.

The eyelet is also sealed by a layer of resin, thus avoiding any risk of damaging the fluorocarbon or a thin steel leader, particularly when the hook is attached directly to the rig.

We sized the eyelet so that it fits perfectly with our Rushka system, while remaining compatible with a classic Cheburashka head. Despite this compatibility, it remains sufficiently thin to be used with rigs where the hook is attached directly to the leader.

Finally, the hook opening has been intentionally made wider. This makes the Rushka Hook extremely versatile, allowing it to be paired with almost all shapes of soft baits.
