The LIVE DARTER is a small hardbait featuring an ultra-realistic silhouette. It is animated in a 'darting' or 'darts' style, meaning successive, sharp rod twitches that tighten and slacken the line to produce large-amplitude movements of the LIVE DARTER from left to right but also up and down! This is a fearsome and atypical swimming action that drives perch, black-bass, chubs and trout crazy and will surely trigger them into action. Excessive movement of the hook can increase a lure’s retrieval resistance, potentially compromising the intended action. The LIVE DARTER brilliantly solves this problem thanks to its device that keeps its double hook fixed close to the body to prevent any unwanted resistance. The lure can thus retain all of its action potential. The tail of the LIVE DARTER is made of tinsel, a supple material that responds flexibly to the lure’s movement, giving it a natural undulating effect. Notably, when the lure reaches the apex of its 'dart' and its movement begins to subside, the tinsel tail continues to subtly undulate. This persistent tail motion holds the fish’s attention until the end, thereby producing more strikes. The LIVE DARTER excels at attracting predators suspended in the middle of the water column or stationed on the bottom, thanks to its rapid 'darting' action. In difficult conditions such as colder water, when perch are less active and struggle to chase quickly moving lures, they may have trouble catching them. It is at that moment that the 'Hover-strolling' technique (stationary mode between layers) proves very useful for fooling wary, hard-to-hook fish.
