Pin’s Yo-Zuri : Delicate but muscular!

After years of loyal service, it must be acknowledged that the Pin’s Minnow remains a timeless reference for the trout season opener!

This lure, which one might think of as a finesse bait because of its profile, is actually specifically designed to face currents. In short, it likes the flow! It is ideal for the shallowest zones, such as large smooth runs, because with the rod held high it runs in the surface film. For retrieval, we recommend a simple steady retrieve, occasionally interrupted by a few light twitches. It is excellent for covering a lot of water quickly but also proves very useful for discreet pitching under the rod. Its action is straight and stable, which allows you to risk getting very close to covers and rocks. Its vibrations are fairly discreet, which is an advantage with salmonids often frightened by too intense a wobble. It should also be noted that it is not very noisy, which is another good point for wary fish.

Far from the garish colours you can find here and there, the shades are very natural. Each angler will choose their favourite colour according to their playing ground, but the « speckled trout » and « bleak » patterns remain standards for many of us!

While the 5 cm (2 gr) is an all-rounder, the 7 cm (4 gr) model will allow specifically targeting the larger specimens or even sea trout. It should be noted that it also performs great on chub, perch and on all the quality fish that target small prey (more often than you might think!).
