The 26 Certate SW (Salt Water : salt waters) now features the latest POWERDRIVE DESIGN technology derived from the 25 Saltiga. The Certate is a reel highly appreciated by sea anglers and has become a benchmark for compact, powerful and robust spinning reels.

Available in sizes 8 000 to 20 000, this 2026 range is suited to all applications for targeting large marine predators: leervis and amberjacks in the Mediterranean, pelagic fish (bluefin tuna, albacore, skipjack) and exotic species (jacks, roosterfish, red snappers and tarpon). High gear ratios are perfect for surface fishing and when chasing, while slow ratios (P) are to be preferred for vertical jigging.

Equipped with Daiwa's latest technologies, it is designed for sea use: robust 100% aluminium monocoque structure, extra-large drive gear, Magsealed magnetic oil to ensure a reel resistant to salinity and smooth even in the most extreme conditions.

POWERDRIVE DESIGN
Introduced with the Saltiga reels, the Powerdrive Design technology reinforces the reel's power at its core, the body. The gear profile is thicker and the drive gear enlarged to increase driving power. The oscillation slide has been replaced by ball bearings, improving its efficiency and smoothness even under heavy load. Finally, the rotor has been redesigned with a wider pick-up roller and a stiffer spherical shape. Result: a more robust and therefore more durable reel.

ZAION Rotor
This Daiwa-exclusive material is composed of high-density woven carbon, anti-corrosion: it is as light as carbon while offering the strength of metal. The result is a unique material as resistant as magnesium.
In sizes 8 000 to 14 000 the rotor weight difference is 40% compared to the Certate 24 version and 5% on sizes 18 to 20 000.

ATD TOUGH
The "ATD Tough" drag uses carbon washers for increased durability and excellent progressivity.
This system smoothly adapts to the fish's pull and ensures consistent braking performance. Thanks to its progressive engagement you can fully concentrate on the fight without worrying about the drag adjustment.
