The Cardiff EXLEAD Competition rods are designed for competition trout anglers who appreciate the subtle details that make the difference. Despite its undeniable sensitivity and lightness, it casts lures with great precision thanks to the blend of Shimano's advanced carbon technologies, allowing you to better target spots.

The ultra-light blanks of the Cardiff EXLEAD Competition are made in Spiral X Core with Nanopitch technology. These advanced carbon technologies combine to reduce twist rotation when the rod is compressed during the cast or while retrieving the lure, resulting in greater accuracy and a smooth action during the fight. The 60SULS model is equipped with a solid Taftec Infinity tip that allows you to better feel and even animate the lightest micro-spoons. As one would expect from such a high-end rod, the guide train is not left behind, with a combination of lightweight titanium Shimano X-Guide and Fuji SiC Titanium K-type guides, an exclusive ultra-light ergonomic Shimano Ci4+ reel seat, and a Carbon Monocoque handle for maximum sensitivity and feedback.
