The spoon or spoon lure was the first lure to appear in France. Indeed, the market leader Mepps filed the patent for the first rotating spoon in 1938. And since all these years, the rotating spoon has been known as the quintessential "hood saver" lure. It is formidable in its small sizes on trout in torrents and rivers but the large sizes also charm number of pikes and perches. The vibrations induced by the blade make this lure a must for predators.
