The company X Zone Lures was founded in 2006 by Mark Kulik, a Canadian competitor eager to design a lure with a profile most suited to the Drop-Shot technique and whose behavior could resemble both that of a goby and that of a crayfish depending on the conditions and its use. His observations and his multiple tests led him to hand cast the Original Slammer, the results of which exceeded all his hopes. Faced with the success of his handmade achievements in tournaments in Southern Ontario and Northeastern United States, X Zone Lures quickly became a reference of choice for competitors and passionate lure fisherman. Drawing widespread interest, the brand was soon acquired by Jim Van Ryn, a black-bass fishing fanatic, who replaced the hand casting with state-of-the-art injection production. The research and development department of X Zone Lures, eager to preserve the benefits of the manual work behind the success of its extraordinary lures, managed, through the use of the best existing materials, to develop the Pro Series range, rich in many models with undisputed performance.
