The Aerlex Surf sits just below the middle of the Shimano Surf range and offers an excellent blend of low cost and high performance. Designed with a fast action, the rods have a versatile casting action that can be easily loaded and will suit anglers of all levels to achieve their longest casts. The Aerlex Full Carbon blanks are remarkably light and well balanced, while being surprisingly powerful when pushed to their maximum compression. The sensitivity comes from the hybrid tips that equip all models, except the 425T which has a more robust hollow tip. The hybrid tips feature a seamless solid tip that amplifies the subtle bites of small fish. The superb blanks are fitted with Seaguide XOG or XEOG guides, including Lowrider guides on some models, all of which are corrosion-resistant, lightweight and safe for use with braid.
