The Japanese leader SUNLINE manufactures and develops braids, nylons and fluorocarbons since 1977 thanks to a manufacturing plant equipped with highly technological machines and a very active and efficient "Research and development" department. SUNLINE is also renowned worldwide for the reliability of its products and the accuracy of the performances indicated on the packaging (IGFA-approved products for record certification). SUNLINE indeed ensures an extremely rigorous control on its products introduced to the market with machines connected to computers capable of testing and measuring the resistance of a nylon, a fluorocarbon and a braid (polyester and polyethylene). These highly efficient machines are also capable of measuring knot resistance, abrasion resistance, UV resistance, resonance, glide, weaving intensity and more... Only a manufacturer is capable of providing this kind of information and saves us bad surprises !
This year is for SUNLINE the culmination of several years of research and technological advancement in manufacturing. Indeed, SUNLINE is launching on the market a completely exceptional, unique and innovative new braid: SIGLON ADV (Advanced). This one is born from a new manufacturing technology that integrates resin with the polyethylene fibers of the braid (DRT, Deep Resin Technology). This new manufacturing process gives this 8 strands all the advantages of an 8 strands but also those of a 4 strands.
Completely watertight, the SIGLON ADV is protected against water infiltrations and therefore lasts much longer than a standard high-quality braid. Indeed, SUNLINE found that even a very high quality ideally manufactured braid (weaving speed and regular tension), the air is always present in the polyethylene fibers and absorbs water when the braid is immersed. Water never completely dries in the reel and turns into mold (microscopic views) and affects over time the resistance and quality of the braid.
This water resistance also confers an incredible penetration into the water and significantly limits the drift caused by the current or drift. Less slowed down by water, the lure or the lead also reaches the bottom faster. Tests were conducted with the same weight and exactly the same diameter of braid (a standard braid and the SIGLON ADV), and each time, the lead connected to the SIGLON ADV reached the bottom first. This can be an insignificant aspect for shallow depths (20m) but so appreciable at higher depths (beyond 100m).
The SIGLON ADV is flowing (density index higher than water) which gives it excellent behavior in water, especially when fishing in waves, which tend to carry the braid when it is floating. Its "direct" resistance performances to the knot are of course also there, but the most impressive lies in the abrasion resistance of the SIGLON ADV, four times higher than a high quality market braid. Tests were conducted with a machine that rubs the braid on abrasive paper and counts the number of back and forths: 135 passes before breaking on a standard braid, 404 on the SIGLON ADV !
The DRT resin treatment also brings several benefits such as excellent glide and very good performances at launches against wind !

Any termination of the T&Cs between the Seller and the customer will result in the termination of the UGCs between Alma and the customer.
