TruEcho CHIRP™
Traditional CW (Continuous Wave) fish finders transmit a signal composed of a single frequency, while CHIRP fish finders transmit a frequency-modulated linear signal - a wave whose frequency increases over time. The FCV600 and FCV800 can use a wideband probe to transmit over a spectrum of frequencies, allowing better target resolution. With Furuno's TruEcho CHIRP™, you'll see more details and better separation of bait-fish targets, predator fish, and structures.

The ACCU-FISH™ function:
The ACCU-FISH™ size assessment function instantly identifies individual fish. This is technology owned by Furuno. To assess the size of each fish, echo returns are evaluated based on their power and transformed and displayed as fish sizes (10 to 199 cm, at depths of 2 to 100 m).

The bottom discrimination function!
The bottom Discrimination function allows the fish finder to indicate whether the bottom is mainly composed of rocks, gravel, sand, or mud, thus providing you with valuable information to help you locate fishing spots and increase your catches. The standard graphic display mode indicates the most likely bottom composition in four colours, while the Probability display mode displays the most likely bottom composition as a graph.

REZBOOST™
RezBoost™ is a revolutionary signal processing technology developed by Furuno that enhances resolution and target separation using conventional narrowband CW probes. Spot individual predator fish surrounding bait fish near the seafloor. With RezBoost™, you get better resolution and clearer images, as well as an improvement in the ACCU-FISH™ function.

RezBoost™ can significantly improve the capabilities of conventional narrowband probes. Compared to conventional signal processing techniques (FDF), a RezBoost™ fish finder produces an image up to 8 times sharper.

COMBINE CW & TRUECHO CHIRP™ FOR GREATER CAPABILITIES
By combining traditional CW and CHIRP probes*, you will see sharp CHIRP echoes on the screen while your CW probe's ACCU-FISH™ and Bottom Discrimination functions work in the background, overlaying important information on your CHIRP returns. You will be able to see the echoes, size assessment, depth of fish and bottom composition.**

RANGE EXTENSION
With conventional colour ranges, seafloor echoes and a predator fish echo are represented in the same colour, making it difficult to distinguish fish near the bottom.
With the range extension, intuitively identify the echoes of interest to you at a glance. Reefs, structures and fish near the seafloor are represented in distinct colours.

New colours
Full Sun and Yellow colours provide better visibility in bright light.

WIRELESS CONNECTIVITY
A second screen can be installed to display the echoes and navigation data from the FCV-600 and FCV-800 via a wireless network, allowing you to view the sonar display from the stern or bow while fishing.

REMOTE DISPLAY ON APPLICATIONS
The FCV-800 features built-in wireless LAN that allows you to display the fish finder's echoes on a smartphone or tablet. The fish finder's echoes can be viewed and exploited by Android™ or iOS/iPadOS devices, even remotely on board. Compatible applications are listed in the table below.
