The Edges Running Safety Clips feature an exclusive insert that fits into the body of the clip. When a fish bites, the clip separates from this insert but remains on the line in sliding mode. This prevents any attempt by the fish to use the weight of the lead to free itself from the hook, and prevents you from losing the lead with each catch. • Lead clip assembly designed to apply a self-hooking and then switch to sliding mode • Supplied with: 5 x clips, rubber sleeves, inserts, T pegs, quick connect swivels • The quick connect swivel is held in the insert thanks to the T peg • The insert is then pushed into the clip • The rubber sleeve holds the lead in place • Once bitten, the fish cannot use the weight of the lead to free itself • The insert gives just enough grip at the lead level for it to retain its role in self-hooking • This assembly allows you to lose much fewer leads • It is entirely safe, because once released the lead becomes freely sliding • Ideal assembly on routes with high fishing pressure where fish have learned to eject assemblies.
