Since their appearance in the Korda Underwater series filmed at Norton Disney, the craze around these Shot on the Hook has been immense, leading to a massive revival in the use of this rig since the film's release.

The Shot on the Hook improves the hooking potential of any wafter rig, bottom bait or snowman, by creating a heavier point that allows the hook to anchor better, ensuring fast and effective self-hooks, thus turning more bites into takes.

These hook accessories are made from pure tungsten, offering an exceptional density/volume ratio.
This high density has allowed a substantial weight to be achieved with a minimum of material, creating a compact yet perfectly balanced Shot on the Hook.

This reusable pure tungsten shot can be used again and again.
It features a small rubber moulding that fits onto the hook point to hold the shot in place.
To change the hook, simply slide it off if you use a barbless hook, or squeeze down the barb before removing it if you use a barbed hook.

Danny Fairbrass :
"Nothing has had as much impact in recent years on my catch rate with bottom baits.
I wanted to release it quickly, but Damian and the product team voted against me to make it a 'special' product.
I'm very glad to have been contradicted this time, because the end result is a product that is easy to use and reuse, suitable for all bottom bait or wafter rigs, from plastic corn on a size 8 hook to a 24 mm boilie on a size 2."

The Shot on the Hook are available in three sizes: 0.30 g, 0.40 g and 0.50 g, supplied in a handy sliding storage compartment to keep them safe in your tackle box, ten shots per pack.

DF's opinion: Personally, I recommend the small 0.3 g version for hook sizes 8, 6 and 4 with small baits up to 14 mm.
For slightly larger baits, around 16-18 mm, and hook sizes 6, 4 and 2, I opt for the 0.4 g Shot on the Hook.

For anglers who use larger hooks and baits from 20 to 24 mm in diameter, we have the 0.5 g version.
The idea is that the lighter the bait, the less effort the fish has to exert to suck it in.
Using a lighter weight therefore increases the chances that the hook will enter the fish's mouth.
