LIGHT & TOUGH
A reel that is both Light and Powerful. Isn't this the ultimate wish of every fishing enthusiast? This LT concept redefines the design of the Certate by bringing a weight reduction on each component. The idea of the Daiwa Japan engineers was to design the best "Formula 1" by breaking the compromises between lightness and lifespan. The Certate LT 2019 was born.

MONOCOQUE BODY
The Monocoque structure has an aluminum frame designed to withstand torsion and flexing while thinning and optimizing internal space for the control wheel and mechanics. With the space savings made at the screw level, the size of the gear system relative to the volume of the frame has been extended to technical limits. The larger diameter control wheel now occupies 85% of the total space of the Monocoque frame. This technology optimizes the advantages of the LT Concept, both in terms of weight gain and power. The Certate LT 2019 adopts an aluminum body with high precision processing and increased lifespan.

TOUGH DIGIGEAR
This gear technology offers increased and long-lasting smooth rotation. In fishing action, the pleasure is at its peak from the first crank turns. At the slightest solicitation of the crank from the fingertips, the rotor goes into rotation action. The Tough Digigear control wheel is designed by cold forging and high precision numerical control machine cutting. This engineering provides infinitely silent rotation.

MAGSEALED
Fishermen faced with marine elements, spray and other corrosive environment demand maintains the reel's performance in all circumstances. The sealing of a rotating structure such as the rotor is a challenge that Daiwa managed to meet in 2010 and optimize year by year. To make the rotating structure - the rotor - watertight against the frame, the seal is made from a magnetic oil called MagSealed. This oil is solidified in a magnetic field and prevents the intrusion of water and dust into the mechanism. The Certate LT 2019 is equipped with a one-piece structure without welding or flange that has high sealability. This is why MagSealed is positioned in addition to the pinion and on the pick-up roller for a reel that is generally waterproof to water propulsions. The spool structure has been revised to increase its waterproofness compared to the previous series (Certate 2016).
