very responsive, super-fast taper, very light and easy to move through the air, the handle is the right length, ceramic tip ring designed for use with braid, good up to around 140 meters (in the test terry edmonds cast it 51 wraps with a medium spomb).

the kaizen rod range has been in development for more than four years and was born from the feeling that we could develop premium rods even better than those already on the market. although it was a first for korda, we used the extensive knowledge and experience of our team of anglers as well as our product development office to produce an exceptional range of rods.

all our premium kaizen rods are built on a fast taper-profiled blank, which means that the taper of the rod runs consistently from the butt to the tip. this produces rods with tip action, with virtually all flex towards the tip. of course, when subjected to extreme pressure, such as during a cast, the rod will still bend along its length to some degree. this type of action allows better power transfer and the generation of very fast tip speed, enabling you to cast farther and more accurately.

the same action ensures quicker contact with the fish: while the initial action is mainly located in the tip of the rod (tip action), the power is transferred quite progressively to prevent any risk of hook pulls in the event of a short-range rush from large fish; this progression also ensures that it remains a pleasure to fight any fish on all the rods in the kaizen range.

the kaizen range has a custom look, with the kind of high-quality components you would expect to find on a rod of this price. the blank is coated with a durable matte clear paint that showcases the carbon, which has been thoroughly tested to ensure its durability. basically, this means it is incredibly durable and will take a long time to show signs of deterioration due to sun exposure and/or moisture.
