TruEcho CHIRP™
Traditional CW (Continuous Wave) sonars transmit a signal composed of a single frequency, while CHIRP sonars transmit a linear signal modulated in frequency - a wave whose frequency increases with time. The FCV600 and FCV800 can use a wideband probe to transmit over a spectrum of frequencies, resulting in better target resolution. With the TruEcho CHIRP™ from Furuno, you’ll see more detail and better separation of baitfish, predator fish, and structures.

The ACCU-FISH™ feature:
The ACCU-FISH™ size assessment feature instantaneously identifies individual fish. This is a technology that Furuno owns. To assess the size of each fish, echo returns are evaluated based on their power and transformed and displayed in fish size (10 to 199cm, at depths of 2 to 100 m).

Bottom Discrimination Function!
The Bottom Discrimination function allows the sonar to indicate whether the bottom is mainly composed of rocks, gravel, sand or mud, thus providing you with valuable information to help you locate fishing spots and increase your catches. The standard Graphic display mode indicates the most probable bottom composition in four colours, while the Probability display mode displays the most likely bottom composition in the form of a graph.

REZBOOST™
RezBoost™ is a revolutionary signal processing technology developed by Furuno that enhances the resolution and target separation using conventional narrow-band CW probes. Spot individual predator fish surrounding baitfish near the seabed. With RezBoost™, you get sharper resolution and images, as well as an improvement in the ACCU-FISH™ function.

RezBoost™ can significantly improve the capabilities of conventional narrow-band probes. Compared to conventional signal processing techniques (FDF), a RezBoost™ fishfinder produces an image up to 8 times sharper.

COMBINE CW & TRUECHO CHIRP™ FOR MORE CAPABILITIES
By combining traditional CHIRP and CW probes*, you will see sharp CHIRP echoes on screen while your CW probe's ACCU-FISH™ and Bottom Discrimination functions operate in the background, overlaying important information on your CHIRP returns. You will be able to see the echoes, size assessment, fish depth and bottom composition.**

EXTENSION OF THE COLOUR RANGE
With conventional colour ranges, the seabed echoes and a predator fish echo are represented in the same colour, making it difficult to distinguish fish close to the bottom.
With the extension of the colour range, intuitively identify the echoes that interest you at a glance. Reefs, structures, and fish close to the seabed are represented in distinctive colours.

New colours
The Full Sun and Yellow colours offer better visibility in case of strong brightness.

WIRELESS CONNECTIVITY
A second screen can be installed to display the echoes and navigation data of the FCV-600 and FCV-800 via a wireless network, allowing you to view the sonar display from the stern or bow while fishing.

REMOTE DISPLAY ON APPS
The FCV-800 has a built-in wireless local network that lets you display fish detector echoes on a smartphone or tablet. Fish detector echoes can be viewed and operated by Android™ or iOS/iPadOS devices, even remotely on board. Compatible apps are listed in the table below.
