The 580 concept :
Costa Del Mar's patented polarized lenses and polycarbonate '580TM' block yellow light spectra whose frequency approaches 580TM nanometers. Indeed, yellow spectra are the most tiring for the eyes. They also limit the blue spectrum in order to reduce the sensation of 'blur'. Conversely, the 580TM increases the visual volume of red and green, resulting in improved contrasts and less visual fatigue, whatever the lighting conditions.

The LightWAVETM 580G lens :
The LightWAVETM 580G lens is 20% thinner and 22% lighter than the other lenses offered by our competitors. Practically scratch-resistant, the LightWAVETM lens will give you years of perfect vision, even under the toughest conditions of use. 100% polarized and 100% UV Block

The C-WALL 580P polycarbonate :
The 580P polycarbonate is lighter than glass and virtually unbreakable. Even after a strong impact, the 580P polycarbonate will never crack. The C-WALLTM coating applied to 580P polycarbonate lenses increases scratch resistance, repels water, oils (notably those on the fingers) and dust. 100% polarized and 100% UV Block.

Co-injected frames :
Costa frames are made with the extremely strong and durable TR-90 nylon. The TM-90 nylon is co-injected with the HydroliteTM coating. This hypoallergenic silicone provides great comfort and prevents the glasses from slipping, even in hot and humid weather.

Stainless hinges : All of Costa's hinges are made of stainless steel to resist corrosion.

Lens colors :
• Copper (12% light transmission) : Perfect for all freshwater fishing, Copper increases contrasts and improves underwater vision, even in poor lighting conditions. Copper offers all the advantages of older-generation yellow lenses without their drawbacks (visual fatigue…).

• Grey (10% light transmission) : This is the ideal color for all saltwater fishing, both in France and in exotic locations. Grey is also suitable for freshwater fishing with very strong lighting conditions (alpine lakes…)..
