The Speedmaster Surf is a mid-priced surfcasting rod with a fast action and long range that combines a high-quality carbon blank with quality fittings and powerful casting performance. The Speedmaster Surf sits in the middle of Shimano's surf rod range and offers a variety of model options to match your exact preferences. All the rods have powerful casting action and long range, offering a fantastic combination of high performance, quality and price. Designed with an extra fast tip action, this range of rods with a superb look lets you increase power when you need more distance while retaining the sensitivity required to entice small fish when using a light line. The casting power of the Speedmaster is generated by the use of high-modulus solid carbon, combined with Diaflash construction in the lower part of the blank. Sensitivity comes from the hybrid tips that equip all models, except the 425T whose hollow upper section is stronger. The hybrid tips feature a seamless solid section, which amplifies the delicate bites of small fish. You will not fail to be impressed by the superb blue blank, which is equipped with stainless steel Fuji Fazlite K-type guides or Fuji Lowrider guides depending on the chosen model. The latter are corrosion-resistant, lightweight and reduce friction. If you use braid, you'll be pleased to learn that all the guides are also braid-compatible. To accommodate large surfcasting reels, a Fuji DPS reel seat fits perfectly on the blank and has been positioned to allow you to create maximum leverage with your lower hand when you cast. Available in two lengths (4,25 m and 4,50 m), with casting weights ranging from 120 g (model Beach) to 200 g and with two different guide options, you really have plenty of choice with the Speedmaster Surf. It's the ideal rod for smaller species, where you need casting power combined with sensitivity
