Although there is nothing wrong with using an all-purpose rod for crankbait fishing, you will get better results by using a specialized model like the Yasei Crankbait. To get the best action from your crankbaits, especially when using braid, you need a soft-medium action to absorb the vibrations and kicks that your lure will make when retrieved. Another notable advantage of a through-action is the way the rod applies gentle pressure when a fish strikes. This encourages the fish to hold on a little longer, resulting in more catches. The 2,20 m length of this lightweight model allows you to cast baits of 8 to 24 g over very long distances, especially when paired with a Shimano 150 reel. Whether you're fishing for zander, perch, pike or even aspius, if you're using a crankbait, this rod is made for you.

The secret of the Yasei Crankbait's action lies in the design of the Full Carbon High Modulus blank, constructed with Hi-Power X technology and Nano Alloy. It has been tapered to create the soft-medium action required for crankbait fishing, with the additional advantage of reducing blank twist during casting, which contributes to its excellent casting performance. Reducing blank twist also brings benefits during fights, as the pressure during a fight is applied more directly along the length of the rod, while maintaining a progressive action.
