What a boat, what luxury...

The first impression immediately indicates that a lot of things have changed and, looking back, we can only rejoice.
What is immediately visible are the new bumpers at the front and back, these provide an absolute added value for protecting the hull against unwanted impacts against rocks or concrete docks, which has never had before... say never... never... .

The boat itself in this model is black. (no photo of the black version for now)
In the 2024 version, the boat received some nice improvements.
One of them is the new handle, what a fantastic improvement, if we say so ourselves.
The handle is now doubly extendable, which allows easy transport, even with the new extension for the feeding hatch.
The boat feels completely different from its predecessor and certainly in a positive way.
In addition, the above extension is also a serious added value, increasing your feeding capacity to no less than 7.2 kg of boilies (depending on the boilies themselves). And with particles, it will become even more.

The extension and the new handle can also be used on previous models of the Leader.
What's also new is the ability to turn off your sonar. In waters where bait boats are frequent, pressing the sonar can cause a jump reaction from the carps present on the site. Hence the additional on/off button next to the on/off button for the entire boat.
A small conical antenna replaces the larger sonar antenna and the boat's antenna has now become a detachable antenna.
And finally, the connection points of the antennas are now better protected by caps, equipped with practical tabs to no longer be able to lose them.
We think this is an interesting upgrade and this upgrade makes the boat much more attractive without having to change the price.

About the operation:
A small adjustment has also been made to the transmitter, the frame around the waypoint has finally been made clearer so that it is also better visible in daylight.
The operation of the handheld transmitter may not be the most common on the market, but the manual will bring some relief on first use. The transmitter is very visual and, once mastered, becomes an indispensable part of your boat and has very useful features.
Does all this have to be used, of course not, the boat can also be manually controlled, but trust me, once you have used its additional gadgets, you don't want to do without them. I compare it to an "automatic" car, you don't want it, but once you've used it, you don't want anything else.

The GPS contains 56 waypoints, obviously way too many, but hey, they're there now. When creating a waypoint, you can now also give each point a name or number, as you wish. It may seem redundant, but I think it is a massive improvement.
On the screen of the transmitter, you can clearly see the connection to the boat, the battery power of the boat and of course the state of the battery of the transmitter.
You will also see the number of satellites connected, the status of the connection with the boat as well as a direction indicator (direction in which you are sailing with the boat).
In addition, the 2 feed hatches are indicated visually and by a number. When the hatches are open, this is also immediately visible on the screen.

There is also an icon of "release hook" on the transmitter, the "release hook" is attached to the back of the boat and is actually ideal for using a backwards wire, so of course it can also be used to tie your hook. line, but you can choose your own, we don't immediately agree with that.
We speak of hatches, but the boat has 2 separate feed hatches in the middle of its hull which you can open together or separately as you like.
In addition, there is a button on the transmitter to calibrate the boat, this is ideal to guarantee the proper functioning of the compass. Use this calibration every time you start a new session. This button is also used to manually open or close the hook unlock.

The boat is "fully automatic", which means that once the waypoints are determined, you can approach them fully automatically. As soon as you ask to navigate to a waypoint, the transmitter asks whether the boat should open its supply hatches when it arrives at the chosen waypoint.
On your command, the boat departs on its own to the waypoint and automatically drops all the food if you wish. And now it comes... the boat is so advanced that it even returns to the "point of origin" without your own intervention. Suppose the transmitter runs out of battery, the boat will also return to the "point of origin".
All of the above can of course be performed manually, but convenience serves people and technology and why wouldn't you use it.

There is also a holder at the top of the transmitter, on which you can click on the depth gauge, which keeps everything very easy.
The depth gauge has a range of about 300m (measured 379m!!!!), the boat itself has a range of +/- 500m.
When turning on the transmitter, you can choose which side the controls are on, so it depends whether you are left-handed or right-handed.

You see, a lot of boat and also equipped with a very sturdy transport case, what more could you ask for?
