50m spool. As early as 1937, Dam launched a synthetic monofilament under the name Damyl across the whole European market. In the years that followed, Damyl became synonymous with fishing line throughout Europe. Thanks to its unrivaled characteristics that make it so fantastic, the Tectan is probably the most legendary monofilament in the Damyl family today. Millions of anglers around the world have achieved great results since Tectan became available on the market. This line has produced many personal bests. Today, nearly 70 years after the launch of the first Damyl, Dam brings a brand new Tectan that offers a greater
tensile strength, less memory and superb abrasion resistance. The proven UV-protective treatment, as well as the low-visibility yellow-green color so characteristic of Tectan, have been retained in the Tectan Superior. Thanks to its smooth surface, knots tighten perfectly and the line glides through the guides effortlessly.
