With a design both minimalist and elegant, the CONTEST is the size 8000 reel ideal for SURFCASTING, while also being a valuable aid for fishing large predators in freshwater. The front DRAG always provides precise, spot-on adjustments to handle any situation while fishing.

Equipped with the PARALLEL WINDING SYSTEM which enables perfect spooling of the nylon line and the V-SHAPE SYSTEM ensures an always-smooth release, for long, accurate casts.

To accommodate thin nylon lines, the traditional low-capacity spool is supplied with a second REGULAR graphite spool, featuring a deeper groove to load larger diameters. The BRAS PINION GEAR in bronze and the 7 bearings +1 in INOX make up the heart of the CONTEST mechanism. All reel components have been subjected to a specific protective treatment against corrosion.
