the sickle-shaped tail of the tipsy c-xl churns a lot of water and emits signals that will be detected from far away. pulled to the surface or above weedbeds and water lilies, the lure will produce a "buzzing" that awakens even the most apathetic fish. on the bottom, in the heart of cover, it won't leave predatory fish indifferent either! on the fall, without retrieval, the tail spins allowing minimalist presentations. this tipsy c-xl can be rigged on a standard jighead or with a texas rig. it puts very little strain on the rod but displaces a good volume of water, which is very useful when predators are not very responsive to strong vibrations. the presence of slits, its flat back (for a perfect hook placement), and its rounded belly ensure good stability in the water. a highly effective lure that is also an excellent trailer for spinnerbaits, rubber jigs or bladed jigs! anise aroma.
