the sephia bb is specifically developed for egi fishing targeting squids and cuttlefish. beautifully balanced, with the correct retrieve speed for egi lures, the durable hagane gear, the rapid fire drag and the easy-to-hold eva handle combine perfectly to maximize performance.
if you are an angler who takes egi fishing seriously, you already know the importance of using the right reel. of course, many "spinning" reels will do the job, but using an egi-specialized reel like the sephia will maximize your catch rate and your enjoyment. based on a 3000-size body, you will certainly appreciate the sephia's retrieve ratio, which recovers 73 cm of line per handle turn. it's the optimal ratio to avoid line slack when animating your lure aggressively. you will also find the slightly elongated round eva handle comfortable, and when you feel a fish strike, the rapid fire drag can be quickly adjusted to allow you to keep full control.
at the heart of the sephia lies the famous hagane gear and x-ship combination from shimnao. this produces smooth and efficient rotation, to cope with the stop/start action of egi fishing, allowing lures to be worked aggressively without fear of failure. the g free body, which weighs only 235 g and balances perfectly with the most popular 2,5 m egi rods, the weight also contributes to the overall feel and balance of the reel. the shallow spool is perfect for squid fishing and the aerowrap, and the ar-c aluminium spool design allows line management to be maximized during aggressive fishing. for an optimal combination, the sephia bb reel can be paired with the sephia bb rod, which features the same colorful designs.
