Ideal for a wide range of fishing, from light and medium-sized lures to English-style and feeder fishing, its performance is remarkable for a reel at this price. Pair the Catana with any low- or mid-range Shimano rod and you will have an excellent combination you will be proud to own and use. In use, you will immediately notice the improved balance produced by Shimano's G-Free body design. This body design is found on Shimano's top reels and makes fishing for long periods easier. The smoothness you will feel comes from the combination of 3 Shimano stainless steel ball bearings and one roller bearing, which ensures reliable performance even when you fish for big fish. Like Shimano's premium reels, the aluminum spool features an AR-C design which, combined with Varispeed II line lay, improves casting distance and accuracy with mono and braid.
