The Speedmaster Surf Telescopic is a mid-priced surfcasting rod with a fast action and long casting range that combines a high-quality carbon blank with quality fittings and powerful casting performance. Combining the practicality of a telescopic construction with a powerful, long-range casting action, the Speedmaster Surf Telescopic sits in the middle of the Shimano Tele surf range and offers a fantastic combination of high performance and value. Designed with an extra-fast tip action, this stylish rod range allows you to increase power when you need more distance while retaining the sensitivity required to entice the most difficult fish when using light line. The casting power of the Speedmaster is generated by the use of high-modulus full carbon, combined with Diaflash construction in the lower part of the blank. This combination produces a remarkable tip speed, which you will certainly notice when casting weights toward the upper limit of the casting capacity or when facing strong winds. This superb blue blank is fitted with Fuji Fazlite stainless steel K-type guides that are corrosion resistant, lightweight and reduce friction. If you use braid, you will be pleased to learn that the Fazlite coatings on the guides are also braid-compatible. To accommodate large surfcasting reels, a Fuji DPS reel seat fits perfectly to the blank and has been positioned to allow you to create maximum leverage with your lower hand when casting. Available in three options (4.30m - 170g, 4.50m -- 170g, 4.50m - 200g), the Speedmaster Surf Telescopic is the ideal rod for smaller species where you need casting power combined with sensitivity.
