The 25 Saltiga 300 is a powerful, versatile round-profile reel. Designed for vertical sea fishing, it features Daiwa's latest innovations, making it robust and durable for jig fishing despite its compact size.

The frame fully embodies the principles of HYPERDRIVE DESIGN technology. Machined from a solid block, the reel base and side plate are made of aluminium. The large HYPER DIGIGEAR drive wheel is perfectly connected to the main pinion thanks to its increased contact surface. The pinion is supported by two ball bearings to limit the pressure and friction that can lead to power loss during retrieval.

The oscillating line guide is synchronised, allowing the line to run out smoothly as it descends to the bottom. When retrieving, the line is correctly laid on the spool and does not require any help from the angler to sit perfectly in place.

The reel features a locking system that locks the reel if the line snags on the bottom. This mechanical lock prevents strain on the mechanism and therefore avoids impairing the reel's functionality, while protecting the angler from the line unexpectedly running off the spool when force needs to be applied to free it from the bottom. Once the lock is engaged, simply press the release and free the line without putting any strain on the rod.
