The new Shimano Kairiki 4 is a braid made from 4 strands, produced in Japan and featuring the "VT construction Method" braiding technology. It is a very strong and smooth PE line that is perfect for long-distance casting. It is available in diameters ranging from 0.06 mm to 0.315 mm with a staggering breaking strength of 29.8 kg. It has the perfect properties for freshwater and saltwater spinning because it is very sensitive and very smooth, which also helps reduce noise. In addition to Mantis Green and Steel Grey, two other colors will be available, namely a very visible Orange and a Multi Color. The Multi Color is particularly interesting for deep-water fishing. Thanks to its softness and small diameter, Kairiki 4 is an excellent line for jigging, as it presents low water resistance and, due to its maximum elongation of < 3.0 %, it is also very sensitive.
