This revolutionary 8 strand braid (7 strands of Dyneema and 1 strand of Gore) combines the performance of GORE material with the mastery of SUFIX's 8 strand braiding technology. This precision construction allows for a perfectly round and regular braid, and improves tensile and knot strength. GORE fibers are made from an expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE). PTFE is an inert material, insensitive to salt water, all chemicals and UV rays. GORE has a very low friction coefficient, which gives this braid superior abrasion resistance, reduced noise and vibration, and of course, increased casting performance.
