The result of Tom Dove's thinking, this hook, marketed since 2014, has become a real bestseller that has multiplied the catches of large specimens, both in the UK and elsewhere, and even the capture of monsters exceeding the 100‑lb mark in Thailand. Of unique shape, it features a very wide gap, a short curved shank, and an eye slightly turned inward. The inward effect is accentuated by the shank's curve up to the eye. Thanks to its slightly inturned offset point, the hook anchors firmly as soon as the fish is hooked. Very strong, these hooks are fitted with micro barbs that ensure secure holding without hindering penetration. A barbless version is also available. The Krank suits various rigs and proves as effective with a simple knotless knot as with more complex rigs like the spinner rig, which Tom Dove particularly favors. The Krank is available in an X version, a stronger hook adapted to extreme fishing on heavily weeded or snaggy inland waters. Each pack contains ten hooks, with or without barbs, in sizes 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10, as well as size 1 for the Krank X version.
