New spool, new drag, new body!
The Daiwa engineers focused on casting distance to develop the new Tatula Elite reel, at the request of the American BassMaster competitors, who are also Daiwa ambassadors. Thus, the combination of SV and TWS technologies has progressed further. The SV concept adapts the spool's inertia according to the lure weight and the force of the cast. When the spool slows down, the magnetic field strengthens to control the cast until the lure lands. With its ultra-light SV spool and its TWS line roller whose position adjusts during casting or line retrieval, this reel allows casting very small lures long distances as well as large swimbaits. It features an aluminum body even more compact than that of the Tatula SV TW, which houses a robust and reliable mechanism able to fight large pike. In addition, the Zaion carbon star drag has a small-format pre-set aluminum adjustment system. Thus, only the magnetic brake setting is needed to adjust spool retention and optimize casts.
