developed and tested by the most feared circuit angler, kevin vandam, the lew’s kvd lfs casting reel is built to face the most extreme conditions and delivers competition-ready performance. this model is built around a one-piece aluminum frame for high strength, and it is equipped with copper speed gears as well as a p2 superpinion gear with bearing support that provides perfect alignment and thus great smoothness and optimal longevity. the lew’s kvd lfs is also equipped with our dual cast control system which uses both a magnetic brake with external dial and four individually mounted centrifugal brakes on discs, allowing the angler to make very precise adjustments to optimize casting distances. a 10-bearing system including nine double-shielded stainless steel bearings and one anti-reverse bearing provides extraordinary smoothness during casting, lure presentation and fights.
