even though uli beyer favors spinning reels in most situations, there are cases where you can't do without a casting or baitcasting reel. when you cast heavy lures of more than 120 g, or troll even heavier lures, the strain on the 'casting finger' or on the shaft of a spinning reel simply becomes too great. in such conditions, it's time for the big bait cast. its length, rather unusual for a big bait rod, has proven itself over many years with uli beyer. it guarantees the necessary casting distance and also proves very useful for trolling.

the big bait cast is equipped with three counterweights of 12 g each, attached to the rear end of the handle. we developed this system with our supplier because we were not satisfied with the hold of the weights available on the market until now. of course, this high-end rod is also fitted with fuji sic guides. in addition to the sturdy, securely integrated lure-keeper eyelet, it has another asset: a discreet 1 m mark. it allows you to quickly identify a metre pike by measuring it directly on the rod (1 m from the joint to the lower edge of the cork handle, before the counterweights or the butt cap = 100 cm).
